Whether you’re flying in and renting a van or getting around Atlanta without a car, here’s what you need to know from each of our four homes.
From the airport
Hartsfield-Jackson is 12–15 minutes from every Volta home. For a group of six, rideshare is usually two cars. For twelve or sixteen, rent a van or a couple of SUVs, or plan two rideshare trips. MARTA runs directly from the airport terminal — the Red and Gold lines — and Sylvan’s Escape is a 15-minute walk from a station, so it’s the one home you can reach from the plane without a car.
Parking at each house
- The Agora: 3–4 cars in the driveway
- ATL Patio Paradise: 3–4 cars
- ATL Cascade Oasis: 6 cars
- Sylvan’s Escape: 7 cars
Street parking varies by home and isn’t guaranteed. If you’re bringing more vehicles than the driveway holds, message us before you arrive.
Getting around Atlanta without a car
MARTA covers the places most guests want: Downtown, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena, Midtown and Piedmont Park, Ponce City Market via a short walk, and the airport. Sylvan’s is walkable to a station. From the other homes, it’s a short drive or rideshare to a park-and-ride. The Westside BeltLine — half a mile from The Agora — is walkable and bikeable, with bike rental at Lee + White.
Drive times, off-peak
- Downtown, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Georgia Aquarium: 10–15 mins
- Ponce City Market, Piedmont Park: 20 mins
- Six Flags: 15–20 mins from Cascade
- Truist Park and The Battery: 25–30 mins
- Cascade Springs Nature Preserve: 10-minute walk from Cascade Oasis
- Lee + White: 5–10 mins from The Agora and Sylvan’s
Rush hour when getting around Atlanta without a car
Atlanta traffic is real. Avoid 7–9am and 4–7pm on weekdays, especially anything crossing the Downtown Connector. Plan the aquarium for opening, plan dinner out after 7, and plan to be at the pool in between.
Rideshare tips for groups
Order two cars at once rather than an XL and a wait. Pick-up at the houses is easy — they’re on quiet residential streets — but at the stadium, walk two blocks from the venue before ordering to skip the surge.
Bikes and scooters
Rental bikes and scooters are on the BeltLine and around Downtown. Helmets aren’t provided, so bring them for the kids if you’re planning to ride. For more on what’s within reach, see our experiences page.
