Three of our four homes are an Atlanta vacation rental with pool, and the first question we get is “is it open?” Here’s the full answer, including the heated pool, hot tubs and the rules.
Pool season
Pools are open April through October at Sylvan’s Escape, ATL Cascade Oasis and ATL Patio Paradise. Atlanta is warm enough for swimming by mid-April most years and the water holds into October. Outside those months the pools are covered and off-limits.
The heated pool at Cascade Oasis
Cascade is the one Atlanta vacation rental with pool heating in our group. It’s available on request for $100 per day, and it extends swimming into the shoulder months when the air is warm but the water isn’t. Ask when you book — it needs to be switched on before you arrive.
Hot tubs, year-round
All three pool homes have a hot tub, and they run all year. Cascade’s seats eight. November and February bookings often come down to the hot tub, and the fire pit next to it.
The Agora
The Agora doesn’t have a pool. It has a fenced backyard, a playground, a tree swing and giant yard games instead, which is why it’s the home for families with small children who’d rather not have a pool to watch.
Pool rules at every Volta home
- Sign the pool and spa waiver before arrival — it’s sent with your booking
- Kids supervised at all times; there’s no lifeguard
- No glass on the pool deck — cans and plastic only
- Pool towels are provided; leave the bath towels inside
- Hot tub is open during quiet hours (10pm–8am), but keep the volume down
- No diving — these are above-ground and plunge-style pools, not deep ends
What to bring
Swimsuits, sunscreen, and floats for the kids. Everything else is at the house.
