Piedmont Park is where Atlanta goes on a Saturday. There’s a lake with the Midtown skyline behind it, several playgrounds, a dog park, and wide lawns for a group picnic or a game of catch.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is attached — worth it in spring and for the holiday lights in December. The Saturday morning farmers market is a good breakfast stop.
Parking fills up fast on weekends, so arrive before 10 or take MARTA to Midtown station and walk.
